The Weiss Lab has been awarded a grant from the Cure Sanfilippo Foundation to develop peripheral neuronal models for MPS IIIA and identify novel therapies in collaboration with the Zeltner Lab at UGA!

Dr. Weiss has been awarded an R21 Award from NIH/NHLBI! This 2-year grant will fund our research investigating the regulation and biosynthesis of anticoagulant heparin!

Dr. Weiss has been awarded the R35 MIRA Award from NIH/NIGMS!! This 5-year grant will fund our research investigating the regulation of glycosaminoglycans! We are actively hiring PhD and postdoc researchers. Come join us!
